Soooo...welcome to 2011 (13 days late, ha). We had a wonderful Christmas, got to ring in the new year with the kids (minus Chas), and have even had a snow day in the past few days. It's been wonderful. Except the day that it snowed, Chris got creamed right in the side of the car so we are out of a vehicle for who knows how long. It's taken them 4 days to pick up the vehicle so if thats' any indication as to how long this is going to take, we're in for a long wait. The thing that sucks most about this is that Chris has to have the Armada to drive to work everyday so we are pretty much stuck here everyday. Boring. Boring. Boring. I'm not one to sit at home every single day so just the thought of having to frustrates me to no end. Nothing new really going on with Emma. She's standing more and longer. She's crawling alllllllll over the house. She loves when the kids are here so she can go back in their rooms and hang out with them. They get slightly frustrated because she gets in to their stuff. Her other favorite spot in the house is my bathroom. Weird, I know. But she stands at the bathtub and turns the water on. I realized (several hours too late) that she had knocked her shampoo in to the bathtub and it ALL ran out. And I found that out after I had returned from Walmart. Ugh. I'm not sure if I mentioned this in my last post and frankly I'm too lazy (at least I'm honest, right?) to go back and look but Emma had a fever virus a few weeks ago, Chris had strep, and I've had numerous sinus infections. Ohhhh the joys of the winter season. I was glad that Emma got to see her first snow fall and go out for 30 seconds...just long enough for us to take her picture because I don't think she really cared for it too much. And ever since then, her cheeks have been red like they are wind chapped. What's the best remedy for that? I put lotion on her face everyday but not sure if that's the right thing to do.
I got two steroid (the medical term would be "trigger" shots) shots in my back yesterday and I have to go back next week for nerve/pain blocks to see if that's what's causing my back pain. They put me to sleep to do this so hopefully I won't be too out of it and I can still take care of Emma when I get home. They are either doing the left or right side next week and then I go back in 2 weeks to have the other side done. After this is all said and done, we've got to schedule Chris' procedure to get "fixed" again. Emma is almost a year old so I'm very surprised that he hasn't had it done before now. I don't really want him to have it done but we can't afford another child any time soon sooooo...I don't really have a choice. Hopefully, I will post again in the next few days. I don't make resolutions because I never keep them but one of my goals is to blog more. And, it only took me 13 days to start :)
